Carson City welcomed its newest restaurant, Guthrie’s, with open arms on Feb. 27. Located at 480 Old Clear Creek Road, the chicken finger eatery quickly drew in crowds, with co-owner Ronnie Boyles expressing his excitement over the positive reception. This marks Guthrie’s second new location in 2025 and its first in Northern Nevada, with plans for two more locations this year.
Boyles highlighted the community’s warm reception and knowledge of the brand, showing enthusiasm for the area’s potential. Customers, like South Lake Tahoe resident Franz Goepfert, praised the restaurant, with locals and visitors alike eager to try the famed chicken fingers.
Guthrie’s CEO, Joe Kelly Guthrie, emphasized bringing the best-tasting chicken fingers and signature sauce to Nevada’s capital. With aggressive expansion plans set for 2025, Guthrie’s is on track for growth. The Carson location offers outdoor seating, a drive-through, and employs 35 people. Operating daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Guthrie’s invites all to experience their authentic Alabama recipe and Southern hospitality. For more information, visit guthrieschicken.com.
