Nevada Softball senior Aaliyah Jenkins has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week after an impressive series win over Boise State. Jenkins had an outstanding performance, with seven hits in 12 at-bats, including two home runs. She also drove in six runs and scored four runs during the series, leading in batting average and slugging percentage for the team.
Jenkins, a Tracy, Calif. native, also stole three bases and made eight putouts while playing in right field and catching. Despite her previous accolades, this is the first weekly honor she has received from the conference.
