Former Nevada basketball star Kirk Snyder’s son, Kade Snyder, has received a scholarship offer from the Wolf Pack. The 6-foot-8 forward, who played at McQueen High in Reno before moving to Arizona, had an impressive junior season at Sunnyslope High in Phoenix. Although not listed on 247Sports, Snyder has received scholarship offers from schools like Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara. Nevada became the fourth Division I school to offer him a scholarship.
If Snyder commits to the Wolf Pack, he would follow in the footsteps of his parents. Kirk Snyder was a standout player at Nevada, earning WAC player of the year honors in 2004, while his mother, Haley Dahl, played for the Wolf Pack women’s basketball team. In a feature story last year, Haley expressed her dream of seeing her sons attend Nevada.
Snyder’s older brother, Kanigh, is currently a redshirt freshman defensive lineman at Idaho State. Kade Snyder will be playing for the Compton Magic AAU team this offseason, following in his father’s footsteps.
