Rivers, who was upset by the assignment, told the teacher to “kiss ur kids goodbye” in a threatening message. She also called the teacher a child predator and accused her of pushing a personal agenda regarding sexuality. Rivers’ husband stated that his wife meant no harm and forgot to leave the gun at home as she was rushing in to school. The school district has banned Rivers from the campus and is taking steps to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff.
