The Nevada Men’s Golf team finished in 7th place at the El Macero Classic, shooting a final round score of 295 for a total of +23. Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae had the best final round with a one under-par 71, moving him into a tie for 6th place overall at even-par. Aaron Leach also had a strong final round, finishing at +6. Liam Gobin and Ben Ortwein contributed solid scores for the team as well. Jonathan Kim rounded out the team with a +20 finish. The team will now prepare for the Mountain West Championships in Creswell, Oregon. The tournament was won by UC San Diego, with St. Mary’s and Pacific taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The team leaderboard featured 17 schools, with Nevada finishing ahead of Denver, Sacramento State, and others. The individual leaderboard saw Seelanagae leading the team in 6th place, followed by Leach, Gobin, Ortwein, and Kim. Overall, it was a competitive tournament for the Nevada Men’s Golf team.
