Mystery cloud company purchases 300 acres in Reno, Nevada industrial park


An unnamed cloud company has recently acquired a 300-acre plot of land outside Reno, Nevada, for a potential data center development. Real estate investment firm Mark IV Capital announced the sale of the land within its Victory Logistics District to the unnamed technology company, described as a global leader in enterprise software, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and state-of-the-art hyperscale data center campuses.

Details regarding any planned development on the land have not been disclosed, but Mark IV Capital’s president and CEO, Evan Slavik, expressed excitement about welcoming the technology company to the Victory Logistics District. The district is a 4,300-acre master-planned industrial and logistics hub located in Fernley, Lyon County, approximately 30 miles east of Reno.

Mark IV Capital, founded in 1974, is known for its investments in various real estate properties, including industrial, multifamily, retail, office, entertainment, and hotel properties. The company has developed close to 2 million sq ft of warehouse and distribution space in Victory Logistics District and has acquired a total landbank of around 5,000 acres for future developments. Other notable technology companies, including Google, Apple, Microsoft, and DataBank, also have a presence in the region.
