Nevada Wolf Pack Golf Team Finishes Round One of El Macero Classic in 8th
The Nevada Wolf Pack completed their first round at the El Macero Classic hosted by UC Davis with a total score of 296 (+8), putting them in 8th place. Senior Liam Gobin had the best round of the day for the team, posting a one under-par 71 and sitting in 14th place. Ben Ortwein followed with a one over-par 73, including an eagle and a birdie, placing him in a tie for 32nd.
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae and Aaron Leach contributed with scores of 74 and 78 respectively, while Jonathan Kim struggled with a nine-over-par 81. The team aims to climb up the leaderboard in round two of the tournament.
Currently, the team standings are led by UC San Diego, followed by San Diego, Pacific, and St. Mary’s. The Wolf Pack will look to improve their performance in the upcoming rounds to secure a higher position in the tournament.
