Grass Valley, California – The Grass Valley Police Department and Nevada County Sheriff’s Office had their hands full with a variety of incidents on a recent day. From subjects refusing to leave businesses to a female urinating on a lawn, the police received numerous calls for help. In one instance, shots were possibly fired on Oak Street, while a female appeared to be in distress on Neal Street.
Meanwhile, the Nevada City Police Department responded to a left-hand turn signal malfunction and a bus full of children stuck at a light. The Sheriff’s Office received calls about possible theft of solar panel equipment and a drone hovering over a power grid.
In another interesting twist, a caller reported being scammed while trying to purchase a puppy online. The caller had sent the suspect hundreds of dollars without seeing the dog in person.
Despite a deer with a broken leg running away and a vehicle causing a disturbance by doing donuts and burning tires, the day ended with a family dispute involving assault with household items. Both parties involved did not want to press charges, and law enforcement ensured they were separated.
