Former California resident Anthony J. Tremayne pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud for selling fake celebrity memorabilia, including forged signatures of the Kardashians and President Donald Trump. Tremayne operated his scam between 2010 and 2019, raking in between $250,000 and $550,000. Despite complaints from Tremayne that his business did not warrant attention from federal authorities, FBI agents seized some of the bogus material in 2014. Tremayne sold items like a “Keeping up with the Kardashians” photograph with fake signatures and a photograph of President Trump in December 2019. He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 11 and could face a maximum of 20 years in prison for his crimes. It is worth noting that Tremayne now resides in Rosarito, Mexico.
