Nevada Men’s Basketball Lands Commitment from Fresno State Transfer Elijah Price
Nevada men’s basketball team recently secured a commitment from Fresno State transfer Elijah Price, marking their first acquisition from the transfer portal this offseason. Price, a 6-foot-9 forward from Long Beach, California, is set to join the Wolf Pack with three years of college eligibility remaining.
Price redshirted at Drake before having a successful freshman season at Fresno State, where he averaged 10.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks, and 1.0 assists per game. He proved to be one of the Mountain West’s top freshmen, leading in points per game among his peers and ranking 26th in the conference overall.
The versatile wing player is expected to fill a starting role for Nevada, addressing a position of need for the team. With only three returning players who saw game time last season, Price’s addition brings both talent and depth to the roster. His high school career at St. Anthony’s High School showcased his skills, earning him accolades as a two-time first-team all-division player.
Price’s ties to fellow Californian teammate Tyler Rolison point to a potentially strong chemistry on the court for the Wolf Pack. With interest from several other notable programs, Price’s decision to join Nevada reflects his confidence in the team’s direction under head coach Steve Alford.
Last season’s standout performances against Nevada, including a career-high tying 17-point game, demonstrate Price’s ability to make an impact on the court. With his addition, Nevada’s men’s basketball team is poised for an exciting upcoming season with Price’s talent and potential contributions in the mix.
