Reno, Nev. – Liam Gobin of the Nevada Men’s Golf Team has been awarded the Mountain West Golfer of the Week following a strong performance at the General James Hackler Championship. Gobin finished at even-par (73-74-69=216) and tied for 23rd place after carding a season best 69 (-3) in the final round. His performance also helped the team tally the most pars for the tournament out of 16 teams. Nevada was able to beat multiple top-50 ranked teams, showcasing a promising start to the Spring season.
Gobin will be looking to continue his success at The Goodwin in Palo Alto, hosted by Stanford on March 27-29. Previous Nevada Men’s Golf Team members have had success at this event, with individual wins in the last five years. Gobin will aim to follow in their footsteps and continue representing the Wolf Pack with high performance on the course.
