With five schools leaving to join the Pac-12 in 2026, including San Diego State, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, and Utah State, UTEP, along with Hawaii, Grand Canyon, UC Davis, and Northern Illinois, will become full or affiliate members of the Mountain West. The conference will also retain UNLV, Air Force, Nevada, San Jose State, New Mexico, and Wyoming.
