Several state and federal leaders have spoken out against the recent violence involving Tesla vehicles being set on fire with Molotov cocktails at a Las Vegas service center. The incident, which left at least five vehicles damaged, is currently being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and the FBI.
There are concerns that the attack may be politically motivated, as Tesla is led by Elon Musk, who has been working closely with President Donald Trump. LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren stated that all aspects of the incident will be thoroughly investigated.
Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo, U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi have all condemned the violence, with Lombardo calling it despicable and promising to prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law. Cortez Masto expressed confidence in law enforcement to find the perpetrator, while Bondi labeled the attacks as domestic terrorism and promised severe consequences for those involved.
Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help in solving the case.
