The Wolf Pack started off strong defensively in the first half, but Colorado State pulled ahead, maintaining a slim lead at halftime. In the second half, Colorado State’s Nique Clifford led the Rams to victory with a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds. Sanders tried to keep Nevada in the game with 23 points, but Colorado State’s dominant second half sealed the win.
Nevada was unable to capitalize on opportunities, only scoring 10 points off turnovers and losing the battle in the paint and off the bench. Despite three players scoring 10 or more points, Nevada’s offensive struggles ultimately cost them the game. With the loss, Nevada’s journey in the Mountain West Tournament comes to an end as they look ahead to potential postseason opportunities.
