Married At First Sight’s Lauren Hall and Clint Rice decided to leave the couples retreat in Sunday night’s episode after arguing with their co-stars. The pair teased a potential relationship outside of the experiment, but Clint has since moved on with Jacqui Burfoot. Before leaving the show, they attended an influencer gifting event, angering producers and threatening the show’s integrity.
Lauren and Clint were spotted stocking up on free clothes worth thousands of dollars at the event, using their reality star status to secure freebies. This incident, along with other cast members doing the same, upset production as it fueled the narrative that participants were not on the show for the right reasons.
Clint revealed that they almost left the show during the couples retreat, even going as far as trying to organize a helicopter to pick them up and take them to a different location. However, they were unable to get permission from the Airbnb owners where they were staying, and production found out, leading to a messy situation.
