Suffolk County experienced four wildfires, with three fully contained and one with 50% containment. Two people were injured, including a firefighter with second-degree burns. Maria Z. Moore, town supervisor of Southampton, declared a state of emergency due to multiple fires exacerbated by gusty winds and dry conditions.

In Brooklyn, a fire broke out in Gerritsen Beach but was under control by early evening. No injuries were reported. Portions of roads were closed due to the fires.
