Nevada Softball Split Day One of Bulldog Classic with Saint Mary’s
In a doubleheader against the Saint Mary’s Gaels, Nevada Softball split their games on Saturday at the Bulldog Classic. In the first game, Saint Mary’s took the win with a score of 3-1, with Nevada’s lone run coming from a late comeback attempt by Tatum Maytorena. Pitcher Hailey McLean took the loss, giving up three runs in 3.2 innings.
In the second game, Wolf Pack rebounded with a 2-0 victory as pitcher Ainsley Berlingeri recorded her first career shutout. The only runs of the game were scored in the sixth inning by Hannah Di Genova and Maytorena. The Pack’s lineup saw some changes, with notable performances from Di Genova, Jenkins, and Maytorena, who each recorded multiple hits.
Nevada will conclude the Bulldog Classic with a doubleheader against Pacific on Sunday, with games scheduled for 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
