Multimedia students from Great Plains Technology Center advance to national competition


Frederick, Oklahoma – The Tillman-Kiowa Great Plains Technology Center’s Multimedia students recently competed at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Tulsa, where they excelled in three different events. Six students earned second place in the entire state in each event, qualifying them to compete at nationals in Orlando.

Shelby Kellison and Kaylee Correa impressed judges with their Podcast Production Team entry on TikTok and its impact on Gen Z, while Erkin Guevara’s Digital Media Production video focusing on Mental Health Awareness also took second place. Additionally, Guevara, Mariah Frausto, Brooklynn Hartgrave, and Brinlee Hill were recognized for their Visual Design Team entry promoting a Farmer’s Market.

In order to cover travel expenses for the national competition, the students have set up a Spot-Fund and are actively seeking donations. Thus far, they have received over $1,000 in generous contributions. Individuals interested in supporting the students’ journey to Orlando can donate via the provided link.

The Tillman-Kiowa Great Plains Technology Center’s Multimedia students have demonstrated their talent and dedication through their success at the state competition, and now have their sights set on making an impact at the national level. With community support, these students are poised to represent their school and community with pride in Orlando.
