The Reno Aces will be hosting a fan fest at Greater Nevada Field this Saturday, featuring special activities, merchandise discounts, and a chance to win Aces prize packs and tickets. Lambo, the Aces’ bat dog, will also be making an appearance for photo opportunities with fans. In other news, a documentary about distance runner Ku Stevens, titled “Remaining Native,” is set to debut at South by Southwest’s film festival. The film explores Stevens’ journey to run a collegiate qualifying time while uncovering the story of his great-grandfather escaping an Indian boarding school. Lastly, a bill introduced in the Nevada Legislature, SB 293, could allow Nevada and UNLV to directly pay their athletes by removing existing language prohibiting such payments. This bill could potentially become redundant with the NCAA vs. House settlement allowing schools to share revenue with athletes beginning in the 2025-26 season.
