Bishop Manogue High School softball players Kiki Harris and Sammi Boggs have been named this week’s “High School Prep of the Week” honorees by Nevada Sports Net and America First Credit Union. Harris, a junior, has an impressive record as a .486 hitter with 11 home runs and 62 RBIs in 58 high school games. Boggs, also a junior, is ranked 48th in Softball America’s Prep Top 100 for the Class of 2026.
Both Harris and Boggs have committed to play at the Division I level, with Harris heading to Nevada and Boggs recently committing to Iowa State. The duo will lead Bishop Manogue in their quest for a regional championship this season, following a successful 24-11 record last year.
Coach Chris King believes the team has the talent to compete at a high level this season, with strong pitching and players who are already being scouted by college programs. The team’s goal is to reach the same heights as Douglas, who celebrated a regional championship on Bishop Manogue’s field last year.
With three wins already under their belt this season, including a shutout from Boggs and impressive hitting from Harris, the Miners are off to a strong start. Fans can watch the full feature on Harris and Boggs on Nevada Sports Net to see their journey to success in high school softball.
