The Nevada Wolf Pack athletic department’s fiscal year 2024 NCAA financial report reveals a record-breaking revenue of $53,329,304. The breakdown of revenue sources includes direct institutional support at $13,935,308, ticket sales at $8,181,002, direct state support at $5,593,085, contributions at $4,043,083, media rights at $3,401,867, royalties/licensing/advertisements/sponsors at $2,864,809, student fees at $2,851,248, indirect institutional support at $2,671,206, game guarantees at $2,048,095, conference distributions at $1,849,957, in-kind contributions at $1,812,863, NCAA distributions at $1,744,880, other operating revenue at $1,153,352, program/novelty/parking/concession sales at $495,866, athletic restricted endowments and investments at $474,505, and sports camp revenue at $245,178.
The university aims to increase its “earned revenue” percentage and bridge the gap with the Mountain West median in public funding sources. Of the total revenue, nearly 50 percent came from public money (university, state, and student fees) while donations, ticket sales, conference/NCAA distributions, game guarantees, royalties/licensing, and parking/concessions accounted for the remaining 46.2 percent. As the Wolf Pack continues to grow its financial resources, there are opportunities for expansion and increased revenue in areas like ticket sales, donations, and contributions.
