The 83rd Session of the Nevada Legislature began on February 3, and as it enters its second month, KUNR hosted an event on March 4 featuring Republican Minority Leader Sen. Robin Titus and Democratic Assemblymember Erica Roth. The event, moderated by Lucia Starbuck, discussed important issues facing Nevada lawmakers. This event took place at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City and was co-sponsored by Sierra Nevada Forums and the Nevada Appeal.
KUNR, the NPR member station serving Northern Nevada and the Eastern Sierra, organized this event with the support of a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The station’s Spring Fund Drive is currently underway, and events like this one bring the community closer together.
The event, which can be viewed on the Nevada Appeal’s YouTube channel, aimed to shed light on the political landscape in Nevada during the 2025 legislative session in Carson City. Closed captions were provided for the video, although their accuracy and availability may vary.
As KUNR continues to provide in-depth coverage of state government and politics, they encourage the community to support their work by making a donation on their website. By participating in events like the one hosted on March 4, KUNR aims to keep the public informed and engaged with important issues facing Nevada lawmakers.
