Mammovan offers mammography screenings in Las Vegas through Nevada Health Centers

Nevada Health Centers’ Mammovan, a mobile mammography van, is offering crucial mammography screenings in Las Vegas to help in the fight against breast cancer. The van will be available at various locations in the city in the coming weeks, providing screenings primarily for women aged 40 and older but also for those under 40 with a referral from a healthcare provider. Appointments can be made by calling 1.877.581.6266, option 1.

Carrie Tallman, a representative for Nevada Health Centers, emphasized the importance of spreading the word about the availability of appointments, urging the community to take advantage of the screenings.

The Mammovan will be stationed at several locations including The STRAT Hotel Casino, World of Wings, and Sprouts Farmers Market. Nevada Health Centers accepts most major insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare, and screenings are provided to all women regardless of economic status.

The Mammovan, funded initially in 2000 by a grant secured by former Congressman John Ensign and former First Lady of Nevada Dema Guinn, continues to provide life-saving screenings to women in the Las Vegas area. Additional information and schedules can be found on the Nevada Health Centers website.
