Nevada Softball’s 5-1 victory over LMU on Sunday saw three players hit career milestones. Saige Alfaro marked her 100th career game, and Hailey McLean achieved her 200th career strikeout, carrying over 186 from her time at Utah State. McLean carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning, showcasing a strong performance in the circle. The Pack opened the scoring early with a double that allowed Aaliyah Jenkins to score, followed by runs from Maya Larsen, Hannah Di Genova, and Avery Cordell. LMU managed to score a run, but Lexi O’Gorman’s flare led to another run for Nevada. With the win, Nevada now stands at 4-1 for the season and will play at the Houston Invitational next week, facing off against Incarnate Word, Houston, and Pittsburgh. The team is looking forward to building on their strong start to the season in the upcoming games.
