SLAM! Nevada’s wrestling team dominated the Class 5A state meet, securing their fourth consecutive team title with a score of 280 points. Led by eight individual state champions, including Manuel Saldate and Gabriel Delgado, the Bulls showcased their strength and depth. Saldate, who also set a state record for most wins in a wrestling career, expressed pride in the team’s accomplishments.
In the girls’ invitational meet, Centennial emerged victorious with three individual state champions. SLAM! Nevada’s Emma Albanese and Billie Bonwell became four-time state champions, while other Southern Nevada wrestlers also claimed individual titles.
In Class 3A, Moapa Valley took home the team title with three individual champions, while White Pine secured the team title in Class 2A. Overall, Nevada wrestlers displayed impressive performances at the state meet, showcasing their determination and skill on the mat.
