All 10 passengers on missing plane that crashed in Alaska have been confirmed deceased

A small plane carrying nine passengers and one pilot crashed in Alaska after going missing during a flight from Unalakleet to Nome. All 10 people on board were confirmed dead, with their identities released to the public. Recovery efforts focused on retrieving the victims and the wreckage, with three bodies found in the wreckage and the remaining seven believed to be inside the inaccessible aircraft. The crash was caused by a rapid loss of elevation and speed, resulting in a fatal outcome. The victims were employees of the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium who were traveling to service a critical water plant system in Unalakleet. The crash site was located southeast of Nome, which is not accessible by the state’s highway system. Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy expressed condolences for the tragedy, while Senator Lisa Murkowski thanked search and rescue teams for their efforts. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash to determine the cause. Family, friends, and communities affected by the loss of those on the plane are mourning the tragedy, coming together as a community to grieve and heal.
