Thomas Humiston, a 24-year-old man accused of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a person under 13, has been arrested in Nevada after a nationwide search. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating the case since the summer of 2024, following a report of abuse against Humiston involving two young victims in Minnesota and California.
Sheriff’s deputies collaborated with local law enforcement agencies and the FBI to establish probable cause for Humiston’s arrest. He was apprehended in Douglas County, Nevada, on January 30 and is currently awaiting extradition back to Beltrami County.
