The city of Columbus has appointed Jim Hartsook as its new Director of Information Technology. With a strong background in managing IT projects and leading technological advancements, Hartsook brings a wealth of experience to the position. He will start his new role on Feb. 24.
Hartsook previously served as the IS Manager of End-Point Services at Columbus Regional Hospital, where he successfully managed several IT projects, including relocating medical practices and overseeing system upgrades. Prior to that, he was the Director of Information Technology for Bartholomew County government, where he implemented cost-saving measures and improved services through technology modernization.
In his new role, Hartsook will focus on enhancing the city’s IT systems, promoting innovation, and ensuring efficient service delivery to the community. He holds a B.S. in Education/Sport Enterprise Management from Bowling Green State University and has been a resident of Columbus since 1998.
Hartsook and his wife, Tawny, have three sons: Coleman, Carson, and Connor. With his proven track record of successful IT management and leadership, Hartsook is well-positioned to drive technological advancement and improve services for the city of Columbus.
