In the 2024 general election in Nevada, less than 1 percent of the ballots in the state’s two largest counties were received after Election Day. Around 9,500 ballots in Clark County and 2,400 ballots in Washoe Country arrived post-Election Day out of nearly 1.3 million total ballots cast. State law allows mail-in ballots to be received up to four days after Election Day as long as they are postmarked by Election Day.
Democratic U.S. House members in Nevada maintained leads throughout the vote counting process. Senator Jacky Rosen initially trailed Republican Sam Brown on election night but took the lead the following night after the counting of approximately 50,000 mail ballots from Clark County. In the end, Rosen won both Clark and Washoe counties by significant margins.
