Octillion Power Systems, a California-based supplier of lithium-ion battery packs, has announced the opening of a new battery manufacturing facility in Reno, Nevada. The facility, known as Nevada One, will serve the electric vehicle, off-highway, commercial equipment, marine, and grid storage markets. With a capacity of 1GWh, the facility will deepen Octillion’s commitment to the North American EV and E-mobility market.
The new facility will showcase Octillion’s advanced battery system manufacturing technology, featuring a combination of human touch labor, robotics, and automation. The company plans to employ a team of engineers in Reno to ensure product quality and provide further sophistication. The facility is expected to employ approximately 40-50 workers at peak capacity and will contribute to economic growth in Reno and Nevada.
