The Grass Valley Police Department responded to several incidents on a busy day, including vandalism to a garage door, a report of reckless driving by juveniles, and arrests made for a controlled substance deal in a parking lot. Meanwhile, the Nevada City Police Department received reports of drug usage on a campus and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office dealt with loose animals on the road, including a cow and a steer. A loose dog was also found on McQuiston Lane and a large rock was reported on Harmony Ridge Road. In addition, a dog was found on Lime Kiln Road and requested to be picked up. Law enforcement responded promptly to these calls and took necessary actions to ensure public safety. The community is encouraged to continue reporting any suspicious or dangerous activities to law enforcement for a quick and effective response.
