Trailing by three with less than a minute remaining, Tre Coleman delivered a clutch game-tying three-pointer with 54 seconds left on the clock. Following a missed shot by VCU’s Max Shulga, Nevada’s Kobe Sanders stepped up, drilling a game-winning three-pointer with just five seconds to go. Zeb Jackson’s desperate attempt at the buzzer fell short, sealing the victory for the Wolf Pack.
Starting slow, Nevada struggled against VCU’s relentless pressure, allowing 13 second-chance points and committing 10 turnovers in the first half, which ended with a 34-23 deficit.
