Gregory Hafen chosen as leader of Nevada’s GOP Assembly

Assemblyman Gregory Hafen II, R-Pahrump, has been elected as the new caucus leader for Nevada Republican Assembly members for the 2025 legislative session, as announced by the caucus on Friday. Hafen will take over from former Minority Leader Assemblyman PK O’Neill in leading the Republican Assembly members.

In a statement released on Friday, the caucus expressed confidence in Hafen’s ability to guide Republican legislators in promoting responsible governance, strengthening Nevada’s economy, and upholding the principles of liberty and opportunity for all. Hafen, who has been serving in the Assembly since 2018, brings a wealth of experience to his new leadership role.

Hafen currently works as the general manager for Pahrump Utility Co. and has previously served as a planning commissioner, chairman of the Desert View Hospital Board, and a member of the Nevada Taxpayer Association. In a statement, Hafen expressed gratitude for the trust his colleagues have placed in him and pledged to work collaboratively to address the challenges facing the state and advocate for policies that align with the values of hardworking families in Nevada.
