However, if he does not return, Ethics Committee Chair Michael Guest has indicated that the committee’s involvement in the matter should end. Despite this, some Democrats are still pushing for a vote to compel the committee to release its report. Speaker Mike Johnson has stated that this issue will be addressed after Thanksgiving.
