Nevada Arts Council Welcomes Lauren Frick as Community Arts Development Specialist in Northern Nevada
The Nevada Arts Council is excited to announce the appointment of Lauren Frick as the new community arts development specialist for Northern Nevada. In her role, Frick will play a crucial part in bolstering the state’s nonprofit arts organizations, local arts agencies, and community arts councils, while also engaging with municipalities to foster a collaborative statewide arts and cultural network.
Frick brings a wealth of experience and academic expertise to her new position. She holds a Master of Arts in English, concentrating on public engagement, from the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana University Northwest. This strong educational background complements her passion for promoting the arts within communities.
In addition to her role at the Nevada Arts Council, Frick is actively involved in the Reno arts scene as co-runner of the Reno Community Art Closet, a resource aimed at supporting local artists and community members in their creative endeavors. This grassroots experience further equips her to understand and address the unique challenges and opportunities present in Northern Nevada’s vibrant arts landscape.
Based in the Reno office of the Nevada Arts Council, Frick is poised to make a significant impact on the region’s cultural initiatives and artistic growth.
