Saab and Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) have recently signed an expanded Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on underwater technologies. The agreement, signed during the first Swedish state visit to Singapore, aims to deepen collaboration in exploring cutting-edge underwater solutions to enhance maritime security and resilience.
The updated scope of the MoU will see DSTA and Saab conducting joint studies on operational concepts and emerging technologies. Saab’s Deputy CEO, Anders Carp, highlighted the importance of leveraging expertise to strengthen maritime security through innovation. Meanwhile, Roy Chan, Deputy Chief Executive (Operations) at DSTA, emphasized the potential for advanced solutions to meet evolving security demands and position Singapore at the forefront of maritime resilience and innovation.
