Interview with Nevada women’s basketball player Izzy Sullivan


Nevada Sports Network (NSN) is featuring a Nevada athlete in its “Five Questions” series every week during the Wolf Pack athletic season. This week, the spotlight is on Izzy Sullivan, a standout player for the women’s basketball team. Hailing from Sammamish, Washington, Sullivan was born in Ireland before her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest.

Sullivan has had an impressive career at Nevada, playing in 31 games with 18 starts, averaging 22.5 minutes per game, 9.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. She has proven to be a sharpshooter, shooting 39.8 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from three-point range, and 74.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Last season, as a freshman, Sullivan quickly made her mark on the team, earning four Mountain West freshman of the week honors and a spot on the all-conference freshman team and All-MW honorable mention. She made 52 three-pointers, tying the record for most made by a Nevada freshman. Now entering her sophomore season, Sullivan is expected to be a key player for the Wolf Pack.
