Keeshawn Love makes her mark in Nevada record book for Fernley


Fernley High School junior Keeshawn Love has been named Nevada Sports Net’s “High School Prep of the Week” after setting records in football and excelling in track and field and wrestling. Love’s standout performance came on October 11th when he rushed for 526 yards and scored seven touchdowns in a game against Lowry, setting the 3A state record and ranking second in state history. Love is known for his athletic prowess in multiple sports, finishing as the 3A state runner-up in the 110M hurdles and earning second team all-state honors in football. He has been playing varsity football for three years under coach Anfernee Sloan, who praised Love’s work ethic and leadership on and off the field. Love’s exceptional performance helped lead the Vaqueros to a victory against Lowry, showcasing his talent and dedication to his team. In addition to his achievements in sports, Love is highly regarded in the Fernley community for his positive attitude and relationships with teammates and coaches.
