One out of every three Nevada voters registered cast their ballot during the early voting period

Nevada is seeing significant voter turnout as the state enters its second week of early voting. With over 697,000 people already casting their ballots, this accounts for 35.3% of registered voters. The Republican Party is leading in turnout, with over 279,000 registered Republicans having voted, compared to 239,000 Democrats and 179,000 non-partisan or third-party voters. This early lead for Republicans could potentially be good news for former President Donald Trump, but experts caution that it is still too early to make any predictions.

UNLV history professor Michael Green emphasized that there is still a week left for voters to make their voices heard, including on Election Day. The upcoming rallies by both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris in Las Vegas highlight the importance of Nevada as a battleground state in the upcoming election. The last day for in-person early voting is Friday, Nov. 1, with Election Day taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Democrats are being encouraged to ensure their supporters turn out to vote in response to the current lead held by Republicans. Overall, the high turnout in Nevada reflects the intense interest and engagement leading up to the election.
