With less than two weeks left until Election Day, the Democratic National Committee is ramping up its ground game operation. Canvassers equipped with proprietary software are knocking on doors of potential Democratic voters, and the DNC has invested millions of dollars to improve its cellphone lists and reach over 80% of voters. The DNC is also highlighting its collaboration with IWillVote.com, a DNC-funded platform that helps voters find polling and drop-off locations, as well as check their voter registration statuses.
Financially, the Harris campaign and DNC are well-supported, with outside groups spending $464 million in support of Democratic campaigns on top of the billion dollars raised by the Harris campaign in the third quarter. This massive financial investment is more than the GDP of several countries.
On the GOP side, the Trump campaign is relying on its Trump Force 47 voter outreach program for ground game success. Outside groups like Elon Musk’s America PAC and Turning Point Action are also contributing to the efforts of door-knocking and text-messaging. Both political parties are focusing their efforts on reaching voters in the final sprint to Election Day.
