Israel’s military conducted an air attack in central Beirut, killing at least six people and injuring seven others. This attack is the second on the Lebanese capital this week, targeting a building linked to Hezbollah. In response, Hezbollah and its allies in the region have been launching attacks in support of Hamas in Gaza.
Israel also targeted Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon, killing 15 in an air strike. Despite initial losses on the ground, Israel has continued its offensive and called for evacuation of towns along the southern border. Meanwhile, Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel and claimed to have forced an Israeli military helicopter to retreat.
The conflict has resulted in casualties on both sides, with Lebanon’s Health Ministry reporting 46 deaths and a displacement of 1.2 million people. Israeli forces are continuing air raids and urging residents of Lebanese villages to stay evacuated. The situation remains tense with ongoing exchanges of fire and air strikes in the region.
