HELP of Southern Nevada’s annual HELP2O Water Drive has once again exceeded expectations by surpassing last year’s donations. The charitable organization collected thousands of water bottles to help those in need during the scorching summer heat.
The water drive, now in its fifth year, encourages community members to donate cases of water to be distributed to homeless individuals, senior citizens, and families in need. This year, HELP of Southern Nevada received an overwhelming response from the community, with donations pouring in from individuals, businesses, and organizations.
“We are thrilled to see the outpouring of support from our community for this important cause,” said Fuilala Riley, CEO of HELP of Southern Nevada. “The summer months can be especially challenging for those experiencing homelessness, and access to clean drinking water is crucial for their health and well-being.”
In addition to the donated water bottles, HELP of Southern Nevada also provides essential services such as housing assistance, food distribution, and employment training programs to help individuals and families in crisis. The organization’s mission is to empower individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and dignity.
The success of this year’s HELP2O Water Drive is a testament to the generosity and compassion of the Las Vegas community. The donated water bottles will make a significant impact in providing relief to those struggling in the summer heat, ensuring they have access to a basic necessity.
As the temperatures continue to rise in Southern Nevada, HELP of Southern Nevada encourages community members to continue supporting their efforts to assist those in need. By coming together and making a difference, we can help create a brighter future for all members of our community.
