Megan Comfort, a successful banking executive at Nevada State Bank, has built a thriving career in the financial industry, starting out as a bank teller before working her way up the ranks. Raised by an immigrant mother who worked as a bank teller, Comfort was encouraged to pursue a career in banking due to the opportunities and benefits it offered. After joining Nevada State Bank as a teller, Comfort quickly fell in love with the industry and pursued a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas to further her career.
Comfort’s hard work and dedication paid off, as she was promoted to various leadership roles within the bank. She now manages the retail business banking team and serves as the main liaison for the SBA, overseeing 22 small-business relationship managers across the state. Comfort believes in the importance of having a clear vision and creating a positive work culture for her team, emphasizing the value of mentorship and continuous growth for young professionals entering the industry.
Outside of work, Comfort is involved in the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce EDGE program, where she teaches classes to women and minority-owned businesses on topics such as cash flow management and business planning. With her firsthand experience as both a banker and the wife of a small business owner, Comfort offers valuable insights and support to entrepreneurs looking to grow and succeed.
