Metcalf, a Reno-based construction company, has broken ground on a new commercial development in North Carson City. The project, known as North Carson Crossing, will feature a 55,000-square-foot building that will house a Sprouts market and a Planet Fitness. The development is planned to offer fresh produce seven days a week and provide a fitness center for the community.
Metcalf’s President and CEO, Bryce Clutts, highlighted the diversity of Northern Nevada’s economy and the growth happening in the region beyond gaming and tourism. He emphasized the challenges of current interest rates and construction costs but expressed confidence in the company’s ability to be creative and proactive in completing projects.
Construction on North Carson Crossing is expected to be finished by summer 2025. This development reflects the ongoing growth and diversity of the economy in the Carson City, Carson Valley, and Reno/Sparks areas. With a focus on providing access to fresh food and fitness facilities, the project aims to contribute to the well-being of the local community.
Overall, this new commercial development represents Metcalf’s commitment to investing in and supporting the growth of Northern Nevada’s economy. As construction progresses, residents can look forward to enjoying the services and amenities that North Carson Crossing will provide.
