Head Coach Victoria Hayward of the University of Nevada, Reno softball team has recently announced the signing of pitchers Jessica McPartland and Tess Bumiller, as well as outfielder Lexi O’Gorman to the team. McPartland and Bumiller will bring experience to the pitching staff, as they join Hailey McLean to fill out the transfer class. O’Gorman will strengthen the outfield alongside Madison and Bailie Clark, as well as Tatum Maytorena.
Jessica McPartland, a right-handed pitcher from Jackson, Calif., joins the Pack after a successful season with Sierra College, where she threw 173 strikeouts in 164.1 innings with a 2.39 ERA. Tess Bumiller, a junior from Redmond, Wash., arrives with two years of eligibility after playing for Utah State and being named Mountain West Freshman of the Week in 2023. Lexi O’Gorman, an outfielder from San Carlos, Calif., transfers with three years of eligibility after a standout season at UC San Diego where she batted .314 with 48 hits.
McPartland, Bumiller, and O’Gorman all come with impressive stats and achievements from their previous schools, and their addition to the team is sure to bolster the University of Nevada, Reno softball team for the upcoming seasons. With McPartland and Bumiller adding depth to the pitching staff and O’Gorman bringing solid bat skills to the outfield, the Pack is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive world of college softball. The team is excited to welcome these talented players and looks forward to seeing their contributions on the field.
