The Nevada volleyball team has added four new players to their roster ahead of the upcoming season. Among the newcomers are outside hitter Malia Pilimai, who comes to Nevada after a successful high school career at Granite Bay High School. Pilimai helped lead her team to a championship title in the California Interscholastic Federation Sac Joaquin Division II.
Libero/defensive specialist Kingsley Singleton joins the team after a successful stint at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Arizona. Singleton played a key role in her team’s state championship win in her senior year. Middle blocker Mckenna Dressel transfers to Nevada from Scottsdale Community College, where she contributed to the Fighting Artichokes’ impressive 53-3 record over two years. Outside hitter Carissa Chainey also joins the team as a senior after playing at McNeese State and Feather River College.
Nevada volleyball coach Shannon Wyckoff-McNeal expressed excitement about these new additions to the team, highlighting their unique skill sets and contributions to the team’s culture. With these four players, the Wolf Pack volleyball team now has 18 members, just one player short of last year’s roster. The team is gearing up for their season opener on August 30 against Cal in the Rose City Showdown. Fans are eager to see how these new additions will impact the team’s performance on the court.
