Nevada Democrats Kick Off Campaign to Support Harris for President | Politics

Washoe County Democrats officially kicked off the “Harris for President” campaign with a crowded event attended by top Nevada Democrats. The launch was also celebrated in Las Vegas, with Attorney General Aaron Ford and State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno hosting an event as well. Kamala Harris leading the campaign has generated high energy and enthusiasm, as seen in the $81 million invested in the first 24 hours and 600 volunteer sign-ups in Nevada alone. Democrats are warning voters about Project 2025, an ultra-conservative plan from the Heritage Foundation, while former President Trump and J.D. Vance have distanced themselves from it. Although Project 2025 does not call for a national abortion ban, it seeks to reverse FDA approval of common abortion drugs and block them from being sent by mail. Press events were held in many major cities nationwide to boost the Harris for President campaign.
