The Grass Valley Police Department and Nevada City Police Department were busy responding to various incidents throughout the day.
In Grass Valley, a suspicious circumstance involving a satellite sighting, a theft of a statue, a transient camp, a bag of needles, and a woman with kittens were reported. There was also a report of a man feeling trapped at a hospital and tenants breaking into a studio.
In Nevada City, a driver that appeared to be under the influence was almost off a cliff and still inside the vehicle. A warning was issued during a vehicle stop.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of horses and a donkey running across a roadway, a man laying near a garbage can, a man on a controlled substance having difficulty standing, missing goats, a loose mini-horse, a daughter stuck on a kayak in Boca Reservoir, a vehicle stop resulting in an arrest, and a man yelling for help along You Bet Road.
Lastly, a 911 caller reported that someone either shot or threw a rock at his window while he was driving along State 174.
Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate these incidents and are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
