Fred Minckler, a man who has worn many hats throughout his life, experienced the most heartbreaking moment in 1998 when he received a phone call informing him of his daughter Sarah’s tragic death in a car accident. Fred has faced his own health challenges in recent years, including blood clots in his legs, but has miraculously survived with the help of medical intervention.
Throughout his life, Fred has served in various roles such as a Marine in Vietnam, a husband, a father, and a grandfather. He has shared many memorable moments with friends, including snow tubing in Utah and enjoying drinks in Silver City, Idaho. Despite the challenges and setbacks he has faced, Fred has remained a positive presence in the lives of those around him.
Recently, Fred’s friend visited him in Boise, bringing back memories of their long history together. The visit was a source of joy for both Fred and his friend, reminiscing about the good times they have shared over the years.
As Fred moves forward, he is determined to continue wearing the hats of husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, retiree, master puttzer, and friend for many more years to come. Each day is a gift, and Fred cherishes the present moment with those he loves.
