Nevada volleyball star Bella Snyder shares her European travels, discusses the Pack’s new era, and reflects on the influence of Patrick Swayze

Nevada volleyball player Bella Snyder recently returned from a 10-day European tour with the Mountain West Global Challenge roster, playing games in Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy. As a rising junior and middle blocker, Snyder is expected to play a crucial role in elevating the Wolf Pack under new head coach Shannon Wyckoff-McNeal for the upcoming 2024 season. Due to her success on the court, Snyder has been named Nevada Sports Net’s Wolf Pack Athlete of the Month for July.

During her trip to Europe, Snyder experienced jetlag but was excited to explore new countries, especially Venice, where she got to visit a four-story Louis Vuitton store. Despite not getting a boat ride in Venice, she had a memorable time exploring the city and trying different cuisines. Snyder cherished her time with the Mountain West all-star team, building close relationships with her teammates and learning from the fast-paced European style of play.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Snyder is impressed with Coach Wyckoff-McNeal, describing her as intense yet supportive. The team’s goal is to improve their performance and focus on closing out games to secure a spot in the conference tournament. Snyder believes that by cleaning up the little things and staying focused, the team can achieve success in the upcoming season.

With her international experience and dedication to the sport, Snyder is poised to lead the Wolf Pack to new heights in the upcoming season, with high hopes for a successful campaign under Coach Wyckoff-McNeal’s guidance.
